On Friday, February 1, Schoke Jewish Family Service purchased our new, permanent home at 196 Greylock Place in Stamford. Our new space will ensure Schoke JFS' continuity for years to come and enhance the quality of our core services. With a significant lead gift from the Smilow Family, this new space reduces our occupancy costs, allowing us to put more dollars towards serving our clients.

The Jewish Federations of North America Center for Advancing Holocaust Survivor Care has awarded Schoke Jewish Family Service with a grant to provide person-centered, trauma-informed (PCTI) supportive services for Holocaust survivors in Fairfield County. In addition, ongoing programs, such as home visits and socialization groups, will reduce social isolation among this vulnerable population.  Marina Sapir will be the program director of this new initiative.  To learn more about the Center for Advancing Holocaust Survivor Care or PCTI click here.

Schoke Jewish Family Service is proud to announce the launch of the Pamela and Michael Hirsch Kosher Home Delivered Meal Program. This unique program provides meals to those for whom food shopping and preparation is a hardship, with a short friendly visit which provides human contact for many who find it difficult to socialize outside of their home. The meals are flash-frozen and packaged to be heated in the microwave for maximum convenience. Each recipient will also receive soup, dessert, fruit, and bread.  Volunteers assist with the assembly and delivery of weekly meal deliveries. There is a nominal fee of $7.50 per meal.  Financial assistance may be available.

Want to stimulate your brain power? Sessions will focus on specific areas of concentration. Advance registration suggested. Light refreshments will be served. JCC Members: $8 per session. When you order a beautifully designed Mitzvah basket for your simcha, the proceeds go directly to the Schoke JFS Kosher Food Pantry which provides food to thousands of individuals and families in our community.

Mitzvah baskets and centerpieces are uniquely designed and custom ribbon colors can be selected to fit the décor of your event. The decorative baskets are filled with "faux food" symbolic of the food that is donated.
