Anachnu - Holocaust Survivors Participate
with Mind & Body Connection with Viki

On January 24, Victoria Boyko, a licensed yoga instructor and Franklin Method educator, led a group of Holocaust survivors in the Anachnu program in exercises to improve the mind with movement of the body.

Many of the routines involved arm and leg raises and stretches along with breathing techniques to relax and “let go” of negative thoughts.

If you know of a Holocaust survivor who would benefit from the Anachu program, please have them contact Marina Sapir at msapir@ctjfs.org or call 203-921-4161.

The Anachnu program is made possible through grants from the JFNA Center for Holocaust Survivor Care with additional funding from the Claims Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, Kavod SHEF, and the Kuriansky Teen Tzedakah Fund of UJF.

Need kosher meals ready to eat and delivered to your home?
Schoke JFS has the answer!

The Pamela and Michael Hirsch Kosher Home Delivered Meal Program provides meals to those in our community who have difficulty shopping and preparing their own food.  A volunteer will deliver the meals and spend a little time visiting with the recipients once a week.

We deliver up to five kosher, microwave-ready catered meals at a time, provided by Jewish Senior Services. Each meal will include a main course, vegetable, starch, soup, fruit, bread, and dessert. The meals are frozen for easy storage.

This is a subscription service. The cost for each meal is $7.50. Reduced rates are available for families who qualify.

If you are interested or know of someone who might be interested, please contact Jill Knopoff, Volunteer Coordinator at jknopoff@ctjfs.org or 203-921-4161.
