Anachnu Participants – Budding Artists!

At the end of August, Holocaust survivors visited Pinot’s Palette, a high-end painting studio in Stamford.  Although they were hesitant at first, with the instructor's guidance, the novice artists created masterpieces.

Anachnu is a program supported by a grant from the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) Center for Holocaust Survivor Care and made possible by Schoke JFS. The grant helps advance individualized services for Holocaust survivors in Fairfield County.

Kavod SHEF and the Claims Conference on Material Claims Against Germany also support our Holocaust survivor programs.

Thank You and Fond Farewell!

We would like to thank Ilene K. Locker and Jodi Maxner (pictured left to right) for their many years of service and dedication to Schoke JFS.  Ilene will be retiring from her position in September as the Director of Employment and Training. During her tenure of over twenty years, she developed 4 out of the 5 programs in the employment and training department.

Jodi will be leaving the agency to pursue other career opportunities. For over eleven years, Jodi has worked as a Job Developer and Recruiter for the Employment and Training Program. During her tenure, she was also the Program Manager for our Residential Cleaning Program.

Best of luck to Ilene and Jodi on their next adventures!
